Battery Died Again After Jump Start. If jump starting gets your engine started and running but the car will not start again once you turn it. Your fairly new battery is bad.

Answer 1 of 17. Learn How At The Official Ford Owner Site. If the engine starts but dies immediately your alternator probably isnt keeping your battery charged.
Typically all a dead battery needs is a jump start to get it going again.
A couple times since this initially happened the car will not even start up at all. When you attempt to start the car there is a low whining sound. It probably does not have a shorted cell because that is rare and i am not sure connecting to a new batter to a shorted battery via. Did it again later and then it kept a charge for hours.
